TOKYO — In a unified stance, top diplomats from the United States, Japan, India, and Australia have strongly condemned North Korea's ongoing nuclear activities and affirmed their commitment to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the ministers discussed several critical issues, including regional security and advancements in technology. The joint statement specifically criticized North Korea's recent use of ballistic missile technology and its continuous efforts to develop nuclear weapons, which are in direct violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. The diplomats expressed serious concerns about North Korea's tactics, including cyber threats and the illegal use of overseas workers to fund its weapons programs. They called for North Korea to return to diplomatic negotiations and comply with international obligations. The meeting also addressed concerns over North Korea's increasing military cooperation with Russia, emphasizing the need to prevent any spread of nuclear and missile technologies from Pyongyang.
