Gadong - A Reception marking the Republic of Korea's National Foundation Day was held on the night of 16th October. The event emphasized the enduring friendship and multifaceted partnership between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea, notably in sectors like infrastructure, education, tourism, as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges. As reported by Radio Television Brunei, His Excellency Kim Soung-eun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam, stated that education has been a significant component of the bilateral cooperation between the two nations. Representing His Majesty's government at the reception was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin Bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. The ambassador noted that the countries have maintained friendly relations since initiating diplomatic ties in 1984. The reception was held at a hotel in Gadong.
