Seoul: South Korea’s exports experienced a modest rise of 1 percent in February compared to the previous year, attributed to higher overseas sales of computers and automobiles.
According to Yonhap News Agency, outbound shipments reached US$52.6 billion last month, up from $52.1 billion in the same period last year, as indicated by data compiled by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Imports also saw a slight increase, rising 0.2 percent year-on-year to $48.3 billion, which resulted in a trade surplus of $4.3 billion.
