Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw varied movements with notable fluctuations in stock prices, as some companies experienced gains while others faced declines. Among the top performers, SamsungHvyInd and HANWHA AEROSPACE recorded significant increases in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SamsungHvyInd's stock price rose by 650 to reach 15,440, marking a positive trend in its trading performance. Meanwhile, HANWHA AEROSPACE exhibited a strong upward movement, with its share price climbing by 11,000 to 764,000, highlighting its robust market position.
In contrast, several companies saw declines in their stock prices. KorZinc experienced a decrease of 11,000, settling at 882,000. Similarly, LG Innotek's shares fell by 900, closing at 158,000. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and KumhoPetrochem also faced downturns, with their prices dropping by 1,100 and 1,000, respectively.
Other notable movements included Hyundai WIA and Mobis, which saw their stocks appreciate by 1,750 and 4,500, respectively. On the downside, Hanchem recorded a decrease of 4,700, closing at 139,000, while KEPCO's stocks declined by 400 to 21,750.
Companies such as SKTelecom and POSCO DX also experienced modest gains, with increases of 100 and 500, respectively. Conversely, LOTTE SHOPPING and SAMSUNG C and T faced more substantial declines, with their prices dropping by 2,100 and 1,200.
Overall, the trading session presented a mix of ups and downs across the KOSPI 200 index, reflecting varied investor sentiments and market dynamics.
