Samyang Group to Acquire Japanese Chemical Firm for 390 Billion Won

Seoul: Samyang Group announced on Friday its decision to acquire a Japanese manufacturer specializing in flavors, fragrances, and fine chemicals for 390 billion won (US$259 million).

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samyang's acquisition of Soda Co. is aimed at broadening its business portfolio, which already spans food, chemicals, bio, and packaging sectors. This strategic move is expected to enhance Samyang's capabilities and market presence in the chemical industry.

Soda Aromatic, established in 1915, has a robust operational framework with production facilities located in five countries, including China and Taiwan. It caters to approximately 1,000 companies, supplying them with its diverse range of products.
