Seoul: Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced on Tuesday his decision to register his candidacy with the main opposition People Power Party (PPP) for the upcoming June local elections.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Oh made this announcement at City Hall, following two prior delays in his registration. He cited the delays were due to what he perceived as insufficient efforts by the PPP to distance itself from ousted former President Yoon Suk Yeol. The mayor's decision marks a significant step in his political career as he seeks to maintain his position in the forthcoming elections.
