Significant Fluctuations in KOSPI 200 as Market Sees Mixed Trends

Seoul: In a session marked by notable fluctuations, the KOSPI 200 index reflected significant changes in various stock prices. Among the companies experiencing an upward trend, Lotte Chemical Corp saw a rise of 6,600, closing at 106,500. Hanon Systems also recorded an increase, with shares up by 960 to a closing price of 5,730. SK's shares rose by 21,000, reaching 571,000, while Hyundai Autoever experienced a substantial increase of 43,000, closing at 635,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies faced declines. Youngone Holdings dropped by 4,000, ending at 205,000, and S-Oil fell by 5,900 to 110,900. Other companies such as LS Electric and Korea Zinc also experienced decreases of 9,000 and 31,000, closing at 304,000 and 1,528,000 respectively. Despite these declines, Samsung Life managed to climb up by 4,500, closing at 299,500, and Samsung F and M Ins increased by 6,000, reaching 505,000.

The mixed trends continued with companies like LG Display and LG Uplus showing increases of 280 and 270, closing at 12,610 and 15,320 respectively. On the other hand, firms such as Doosan Enerbility and NAVER witnessed declines, with their prices dropping by 1,600 and 3,500 to settle at 128,000 and 211,500. The market's performance displayed a blend of gains and losses, reflecting varied investor sentiments.
