Seoul: Tuesday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw notable fluctuations in the closing prices of KOSPI 200 stocks, with several companies experiencing significant changes in their share values.
According to Yonhap News Agency, TaekwangInd saw a marginal increase in its stock price, closing at 907,000 KRW, up by 1,000 KRW. Similarly, LG Corp. experienced a rise, closing at 114,300 KRW, up by 1,100 KRW. POSCO FUTURE M marked a substantial gain, closing at 189,300 KRW, which is an increase of 10,400 KRW.
Conversely, several companies faced declines in their stock prices. KAL's stock decreased by 500 KRW, closing at 29,350 KRW. SamyangFood witnessed a significant drop, with its stock falling by 33,000 KRW to close at 1,277,000 KRW. Shinsegae also saw a decrease, closing at 368,000 KRW, down by 8,000 KRW.
In the automotive sector, KIA CORP.'s stock fell by 2,400 KRW, closing at 121,800 KRW. HyundaiMtr also experienced a decline, with its stock down by 4,500 KRW to close at 367,000 KRW.
The insurance sector had its share of fluctuations as well, with SamsungFandMIns seeing a decrease of 14,000 KRW, closing at 661,000 KRW. DB INSURANCE also faced a decline, closing at 188,700 KRW, down by 3,800 KRW.
On the positive side, Doosan experienced a notable rise, closing at 1,289,000 KRW, up by 34,000 KRW. Similarly, POSCO Holdings saw an increase, closing at 332,000 KRW, up by 6,000 KRW.
