Singer-Actress IU Cancels Goyang Concert and Delays Album Release Due to Ear Disorder

Seoul: Singer-actress IU announced on Monday that she is canceling her upcoming September concert in Goyang and postponing the release of her new album due to an ear disorder. IU revealed that the decision came after consulting with medical professionals regarding her worsening symptoms of a patulous Eustachian tube.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the condition, which can cause autophony and aural fullness, has led IU to reconsider her upcoming commitments. She expressed her concerns through her fan platform, Berriz, stating, "My chronic symptoms of patulous Eustachian tube are getting worse. I think I may have pushed myself a little these past few years without thinking about my health out of enthusiasm for my work."

IU extended an apology to her fans for not being able to fulfill her promise of performing in concert. The release of her sixth full-length album is also postponed, as its promotion would involve extensive concerts and tours. She assured her fans, "I will do everything I can to ensure the wait is not too long and will return as soon as possible with my new album and concert. Please just wait a little."
