Seoul: SK hynix Inc. on Wednesday reported its fourth-quarter net income of 15.24 trillion won (US$10.7 billion), marking a 90.4 percent increase from the previous year. The company's impressive financial performance was highlighted in a regulatory filing, which also detailed an operating profit rise of 137.2 percent on-year to 19.16 trillion won for the October-December period. Sales figures showed a significant increase of 66.1 percent, reaching 32.82 trillion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the earnings results surpassed market expectations, with the average net profit estimate by analysts standing at 13.49 trillion won. This estimate was derived from a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency.
