Seoul: SKC Ltd. on Tuesday reported its third-quarter net loss of 49.5 billion won (US$35.9 million), remaining in the red compared with a year ago. The company said in a regulatory filing that it continued to post an operating loss of 62 billion won for the July-September period, compared with a loss of 59.1 billion won a year earlier. Sales rose 22.5 percent to 462.3 billion won. According to Yonhap News Agency, despite the increase in sales, SKC Ltd.'s financials have continued to struggle, reflecting ongoing challenges within the company. The report indicates that the rise in sales was not sufficient to offset the rising operating losses that have persisted over the past year. The company has not provided specific reasons for the continued losses, but industry analysts suggest that increased operational costs and market conditions may be contributing factors. SKC Ltd. is expected to seek strategies to mitigate these losses and improve its financial standing in the coming quarters. The financial results highlight the difficulties SKC Ltd. faces in turning around its fortunes, with a significant focus likely to be placed on cost management and revenue generation in future quarters.
