Sleet and Snow Expected Across South Korea’s Major Cities

Seoul: South Korea is set to experience a day of wintry weather with sleet and snow expected in several major cities.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the forecast for Tuesday indicates a high probability of precipitation, with temperatures remaining low across the country.

Seoul, Incheon, Suwon, Cheongju, and Daejeon are all expected to see sleet, with temperatures reaching highs of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius and lows ranging from -1 to 1 degree Celsius. These cities have an 80% chance of sleet throughout the day.

Chuncheon and Gangneung are forecasted to receive snow, with both cities seeing a high of 4 degrees Celsius. Chuncheon will have a low of -3 degrees Celsius, while Gangneung will have a low of 1 degree Celsius, with an 80% chance of snow.

In the southwestern regions, Jeonju and Gwangju will also experience sleet with highs of 7 degrees Celsius and lows of 2 and 1 degree Celsius, respectively. Similarly, Daegu will see sleet with a high of 5 degrees Celsius and a low of 3 degrees Celsius.

Jeju and Busan will experience rain instead of sleet or snow. Jeju is expected to have a high of 10 degrees Celsius and a low of 7 degrees Celsius with a 60% chance of rain, while Busan will have a high of 7 degrees Celsius and a low of 4 degrees Celsius, with an 80% chance of rain.
