South Korea Achieves Multiple Medals at Asian Games

Nagoya:South Korea secured two medals in archery at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, winning bronze in the women's team event and silver in the mixed team event. According to Yonhap News Agency, the women's archery team, consisting of Park Jung-yoon, Park Ye-rin, and Kang Yeon-seo, clinched the bronze medal by defeating Chinese Taipei 229-228 at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Square. Park Jung-yoon also teamed up with Choi Yong-hee to earn a silver medal in the mixed team event after a close shoot-off with India. In judo, Jang Se-yun claimed a silver medal in the women's -52 kilograms category, falling to Uzbekistan's Sita Kadamboeva in the final. The sport climbing events saw Lee Do-hyun capture a silver medal in the men's boulder, while Jeong Ji-min secured a bronze in the women's speed event. South Korea also attained two bronze medals in cycling track races. The women's team of Kim Min-jeong, Jang Su-ji, Noh Yun-seo, and Shin Ji-eun won bronze in the team pursuit at Izu Velodrome. Shin Ji-eun had pre viously earned bronze in the women's individual time trial in road cycling. The men's cycling team, comprised of Park Sang-hoon, Hong Seung-min, Kim Hyeon-seok, and Kim Kyeong-ho, also won bronze in their team pursuit race. In wrestling, Kim Min-seok achieved a bronze medal in the men's 130kg Greco-Roman category. Meanwhile, in men's football, South Korea defeated China 2-1 in the semifinals in Osaka, with goals from Lee Young-jun and Bae Jun-ho, advancing to face Japan in the final for what will be their third consecutive gold medal match. The women's field hockey team lost 2-0 to India in the semifinals and will compete against Japan for the bronze medal. South Korea was aiming to reach its second consecutive final after winning silver in 2023.
