SEOUL — South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on Tuesday that it has concluded the fourth round of negotiations with the European Union aimed at forging a digital trade agreement. The talks, which spanned three days, were held in Seoul and are part of ongoing efforts that began with negotiations in October of the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the discussions involved approximately 30 government officials from both sides who exchanged ideas on enhancing online commerce, establishing a reliable digital economy framework, and increasing operational freedom for related businesses. The Ministry stated, "The agreement is poised to solidify the foundation for stronger ties with the EU in digital commerce and augment the competitiveness of South Korean businesses."
