Tunis:The finance ministers of South Korea and the United States have reaffirmed the importance of their countries' economic and financial cooperation. This was highlighted during a video conference between South Korean Finance Minister Lee Hyoung-il and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this meeting marked the first conversation between the two officials since Lee took office last month. Secretary Bessent congratulated Minister Lee on his recent appointment and emphasized the significance of maintaining and enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
Minister Lee expressed his gratitude for the congratulations and conveyed his hopes for ongoing close communication and collaboration between the two nations. The discussion also covered shared economic policy priorities and explored ways to further strengthen their cooperative efforts.
