According to Yonhap News Agency, Park and Keum secured their spot in the finals on the first day of medal events, ensuring at least a silver medal for South Korea. The final showdown is set to occur immediately following the bronze medal match, which features the third and fourth-ranked qualifiers. This marks a continuation of South Korea's tradition of winning a gold medal on the first day of the Summer Olympics, a streak that has persisted since 2008.
