South Korea Commits $7 Million in Aid to Ethiopia Amid Food Crisis

SEOUL — The South Korean government has pledged to provide $7 million in humanitarian assistance to Ethiopia to address severe food shortages and other pressing challenges.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Ambassador Yun Seong-deok announced the aid package during the High-level Pledging Event for the Humanitarian Situation in Ethiopia, which took place in Switzerland on Tuesday. The funds aim to alleviate the hardships faced by Ethiopians due to food scarcity and are part of a broader effort that includes the shipment of 13,582 tons of rice to the African nation.
