South Korea Engages in Annual Economic Consultation with AMRO.

Seoul: South Korea began its annual economic consultation with a regional macroeconomic research organization in Asia on Monday to discuss the country's economic situation, the finance ministry said. The consultation, involving 19 institutions, including the finance ministry and the central bank, along with a mission team from the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), will run until November 29. According to Yonhap News Agency, the Singapore-based AMRO was established in 2011 to promote macroeconomic and financial stability in the Asian region, which includes the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its three Northeast Asian partners-South Korea, China, and Japan. Every year, AMRO delegations visit South Korea to discuss the country's economic policies.
