South Korean Bond Yields See Minor Fluctuations as of July 31, 2024

SEOUL — Bond yields in South Korea experienced slight changes on the morning of July 31, 2024, reflecting a mixed sentiment in the debt market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year treasury bill (TB) yield decreased slightly by 0.4 basis points, settling at 3.151 percent. Similarly, the 2-year TB yield saw a minimal drop of 0.1 basis point, recorded at 3.075 percent. Conversely, the 3-year TB yield rose by 0.6 basis points, reaching exactly 3.000 percent. The long-term 10-year TB yield increased marginally by 0.1 basis point, standing at 3.053 percent.

Additionally, the 2-year monetary stabilization bond (MSB) yield decreased by 0.1 basis point to 3.059 percent. The 3-year corporate bond (CB) rated AA- also witnessed a slight increase of 0.3 basis points, reaching 3.454 percent. These minor adjustments reflect ongoing adjustments and investor reactions in the South Korean bond market.
