SEOUL - Defense Minister Shin Won-sik on Sunday remarked on the unsuccessful aspects of North Korea’s recent hypersonic missile tests. In an interview with KBS, he reported that despite North Korea's claims of success, the missile failed during its last-stage glide flight.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the missile did not meet the operational criteria expected in its final phase, although it achieved speeds over Mach 5. Shin expressed that continued efforts in missile development by North Korea might eventually lead to success, highlighting the ongoing advancements despite the current shortcomings.
