SEOUL - South Korean golfer An Byeong-hun, son of two Olympic table tennis medalists, is set to represent his country in the Olympic golf tournament this week in France. According to Yonhap News Agency, An aims to build on his family’s Olympic legacy and achieve his own medal. His parents, Ahn Jae-hyung and Jiao Zhimin, were both medalists at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. An, who previously competed in the Rio Olympics, will join fellow South Korean and PGA Tour professional Kim Joo-hyung, known as Tom Kim in the United States. Kim, at his first Olympics, expressed his aspirations and acknowledged the pressure of potentially securing the first Olympic golf medal for a South Korean male. The duo will compete at the Golf National near Paris, where Kim praised the course condition and its suitability for a competitive tournament. Both golfers expressed a deep sense of national pride and responsibility as they prepare to tee off on Thursday.
