South Korean Land Minister Explores Construction Partnerships in Rwanda

KIGALI - In a recent visit to Rwanda, Land Minister Park Sang-woo engaged in discussions aimed at bolstering construction and infrastructure collaboration between the two nations. Park's office reported that the visit, which occurred last Thursday and Friday, was geared towards strengthening South Korea’s ties with Africa in anticipation of the forthcoming South Korea-Africa summit in Seoul this June. During his stay, Minister Park extended an invitation to Rwandan President Paul Kagame to attend the summit and met with Rwandan infrastructure counterpart, Jimmy Gasore.

According to Yonhap News Agency, discussions included potential opportunities for South Korean firms in Rwandan development projects. Minister Park committed to sharing South Korea's regulatory expertise in housing and urban development and proposed a joint advisory mission to support Rwanda's urban planning initiatives.
