The strike, which is in protest of the government's proposal to increase medical school admissions, has significantly strained the country's healthcare system. According to Yonhap News Agency, During his visit, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the hospital's medical staff for their crucial role in mitigating the impact of the healthcare workers' walkout. He also took time to console the family of a patient who underwent emergency surgery at the military facility due to the ongoing disruptions in civilian hospitals. The office of the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the military hospital's support in ensuring continued medical care for civilians amid the challenging circumstances caused by the strike.
