South Korean Stocks See Mixed Results as KOSPI 200 Closes

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a range of movements as the trading session closed, with several companies experiencing gains while others faced losses. Notably, LG Innotek and SK saw declines, while shares of Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. and others rose.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Innotek ended the day at 915,000, marking a decrease of 16,000. SK also experienced a decline, closing at 785,000, down 30,000. Shinsegae's shares decreased by 11,000, reaching 729,000, while SK Telecom saw a slight drop of 400, closing at 90,200.

Conversely, several stocks observed notable increases. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. surged by 57,000, closing at 512,000. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced a rise of 28,000, closing at 592,000. LS also saw a significant increase, reaching 358,500, up by 24,500. Additionally, Samsung ElecMech rose by 45,000, ending at 2,038,000.

Other companies with gains include LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp, which increased by 4,700 to close at 67,600, and HMM, which rose by 910 to finish at 19,220. KumhoPetrochem and SKC saw increases of 6,100 and 6,400, respectively, closing at 120,000 and 110,400. Hanwha Aerospace ended at 1,020,000, with an increase of 9,000.

Additional notable gains were observed in Daewoong Pharm, which rose by 11,800 to close at 119,100, and MiwonComcl, which increased by 11,600, ending at 124,000. KPIC also experienced a rise, closing at 120,000, up 10,200.
