South Korea’s Foreign Minister to Join NATO Talks in Brussels

BRUSSELS - South Korea's Foreign Minister, Cho Tae-yul, is set to attend a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels next week, his office announced on Friday. The meeting, scheduled to open on Wednesday and continue for two days, will be chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the discussions at the meeting will focus on enhancing security cooperation between Europe and the Indo-Pacific amid ongoing global security challenges, including the war in Ukraine and increasing military collaboration between North Korea and Russia. South Korea's participation comes as one of the non-NATO partners from the Indo-Pacific region, alongside Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, highlighting its growing role in addressing global security issues.
