SEOUL - South Korea's Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Yang Young-mo, is scheduled to embark on a diplomatic and military engagement tour to Qatar and Saudi Arabia starting Sunday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Admiral Yang's six-day visit will include meetings with his counterparts in both nations, marking the first time a South Korean Navy chief has visited these two countries. The visit aims to bolster military cooperation and strengthen ties with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, reflecting South Korea's strategic interests in enhancing its naval and defense relationships in the Middle East.
