Seoul:A special exhibition featuring ancient Egyptian mummies and artifacts is set to open in December at the Seoul Arts Center in southern Seoul.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the exhibition, "Unraveling the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt," will showcase around 150 artifacts from the Brooklyn Museum's collection, including mummies, sculptures, and jewelry.

The event is co-hosted by Yonhap News Agency, the Brooklyn Museum, local newspaper Donga Ilbo, and broadcaster Channel A. It will run from December 11 through April 11 of the following year.

Among the highlights are the mummy and cartonnage of an ancient Egyptian priest named Hor, dating from approximately 760 to 558 B.C., and a mummified cat linked to the Egyptian goddess Bastet. This exhibition marks the first time in four years that Egyptian mummies will be displayed in South Korea.
