Seoul: The latest closing prices from the KOSPI 200 index highlighted significant movements among prominent companies. Doosan Enerbility led the gains, closing at 99,800, marking an increase of 6,700. LG Display also saw an uptick, closing at 14,130, up by 230, while Kangwonland increased by 300 to reach 16,000. Other notable performers included NAVER, which rose by 1,000 to close at 248,000, and Hanwha Ocean, which surged by 10,700 to end at 123,400.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies experienced gains in their stock prices. KIWOOM saw a rise of 4,000, closing at 367,500, and LG H and H increased by 4,500 to 246,500. LGCHEM's stock price climbed by 15,500, reaching 360,500, while ShinhanGroup posted a gain of 6,000, closing at 105,600. SANIL ELECTRIC and HYUNDAI ROTEM also reported positive performances, closing at 251,000 and 213,000, respectively, with increases of 19,500 and 4,500.
Additionally, financial and defense companies reflected strong performances. WooriFinancialGroup's stock price rose by 1,400 to 32,550, JB Financial Group increased by 850 to 27,550, and KBFinancialGroup climbed by 8,400 to 169,600. LIG Defense and Aerospace saw substantial growth, closing at 845,000, up 73,000. Meanwhile, Hanwha Life and Hana Financial Group also recorded gains, closing at 5,250 and 129,300, respectively.
In contrast, some companies experienced declines. PARADISE fell by 30 to 14,970, Kakao decreased by 750 to 40,750, and NC dropped by 1,500 to close at 261,500. HANMISemi and KEPCO E and C saw significant losses, closing at 347,000 and 135,000, respectively, with decreases of 14,000 and 16,300. Youngone Corp also reported a decline, closing at 82,400, down by 500.
