SEOUL - A car accident involving a U-turn maneuver by an elderly driver resulted in injuries to two pedestrians near Seoul Station on Saturday, according to Seoul police. The incident occurred when the car unexpectedly drove into a pedestrian crossing during the maneuver.
According to Yonhap News Agency, The police reported that the car first collided with one pedestrian and then traveled an additional 20 meters before striking another individual. The vehicle finally came to a stop after crashing into a wall. Both injured parties were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities intend to further question the driver, who was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, to determine the precise cause of the mishap. This accident follows another tragic incident earlier in the week that resulted in nine fatalities in downtown Seoul.
