The call for diplomacy comes in the wake of North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reporting on the regime's ground jet test of the missile engine, signaling an escalation in its military capabilities.
The State Department emphasized the importance of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) engaging in substantive dialogue to address military risks and pursue a sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula.
