The air forces of China and Russia held joint patrol exercises this month, flying strategic bombers over waters around Japan and South Korea in the second such operation this year and the fifth since the two air forces began joint aerial activities in 2019. Polls show that Beijing has alienated Tokyo and Seoul with years of bullying “wolf warrior” diplomacy, drawing the two U.S. allies closer together.
