According to Yonhap News Agency, who has been vocal about his firm stance on North Korea and a staunch advocate for human rights, it is crucial to "continuously and patiently work toward creating conditions for dialogue." This comes in the context of North Korea's recent hostile actions, including the launch of thousands of trash-carrying balloons across the border in retaliation against anti-Pyongyang leaflets distributed by North Korean defectors in the South. In response, South Korea has resumed its anti-Pyongyang broadcasts at the border for the ninth consecutive day.
