White House Cites Hyundai’s $21 Billion U.S. Investment as Victory for Trump’s Manufacturing Agenda

Washington: The White House on Friday highlighted South Korean conglomerate Hyundai Motor Group's plan to invest $21 billion in the United States by 2028 as a testament to U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to achieve "American manufacturing dominance."

According to Yonhap News Agency, the announcement was made by Hyundai's Executive Chair Euisun Chung on Monday. The comprehensive investment plan includes $8.6 billion allocated for the automotive sector, $6.1 billion for the steel industry, component parts, and logistics, and $6.3 billion dedicated to future industry sectors and energy.

The White House emphasized that just ten weeks into his second term, President Trump is already delivering "transformative" victories for the American people, using Hyundai's substantial investment as a key example.
