Xi Jinping Advocates for Multipolarity and Inclusive Globalization Before Pyongyang Visit

Pyongyang: Chinese leader Xi Jinping has emphasized the need for a multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization in an op-ed published in North Korea's Rodong Sinmun. The piece was released ahead of his state visit to Pyongyang, marking an important diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Xi highlighted the significance of continued development in relations between China and North Korea amidst complex global conditions. His remarks were featured on the front page of the daily, which is the official newspaper of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party.

Xi stressed the importance of closer strategic communication and joint efforts to uphold the international system centered around the United Nations. He also advocated for an international order based on international law. The Chinese leader recounted his previous meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, affirming that the relationship between the two nations will remain steadfast despite evolving global circumstances.

Additionally, Xi expressed that maintaining peace and stability in the region is a common goal for both Chinese and North Korean people. He called for collaborative efforts to achieve this shared aspiration. Xi's visit to Pyongyang, scheduled to begin later on Monday, is his first trip to North Korea in nearly seven years, underscoring the significance of this diplomatic endeavor.
