South Korean Bond Yields See Notable Decline

SEOUL – On July 12, 2024, South Korean bond yields recorded a notable decrease across various maturities, reflecting changes in investor sentiments and market dynamics.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Today's trading session saw the 1-year Treasury bond yield decrease by 1.5 basis points to 3.201%, the 2-year yield by 4.8 basis points to 3.161%, and the 3-year yield by 6.2 basis points to 3.101%. Additionally, the 10-year Treasury bond experienced a decline of 5.7 basis points, settling at 3.177%. The 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bonds (MSBs) also decreased by 5.1 basis points to 3.149%, and the 3-year Credit Bonds rated AA- fell by 6.2 basis points to 3.552%. However, the 91-day Certificate of Deposit (CD) rate remained unchanged at 3.550%.
