PARIS — South Korean pistol shooters Lee Won-ho and Oh Ye-jin have qualified for the bronze medal match in the mixed team event at the Paris Olympics. The duo will face India's Sarabjot Singh and Manu Bhaker on Tuesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee and Oh secured their spot in the bronze medal contest after finishing fourth in Monday's qualification round for the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. They scored 579 points, narrowly trailing the Indian team by one point. Oh, a gold medalist from the previous day's women's event, and Lee, who placed fourth in the men's event, both seek to add to their medal tallies.
The mixed team event pits the third and fourth-ranked qualifiers against each other for the bronze, while the top two teams compete for gold. This year's gold medal match will feature Yusuf Dikec and Sevval Ilayda Tarhan from Turkiye against Damir Mikec and Zorana Arunovic from Serbia. South Korea has shown strong performance in shooting at the Paris Olympics, already winning multiple medals within the first few days of the competition.
