South Korean Bond Yields See Notable Changes on August 16, 2024

Seoul – The South Korean bond market experienced noticeable shifts in yields across various maturities on August 16, 2024, according to trading data.

According to Yonhap News Agency, The one-year Treasury bond (TB) yield increased by 1.1 basis points, closing at 3.060%, while the two-year TB rose by 4.0 basis points to 3.040%. Similarly, the three-year TB yield went up by 4.0 basis points to 2.928%. The ten-year TB also saw an increase, rising by 2.8 basis points to settle at 2.973%. In the corporate bond sector, the three-year corporate bond (AA-) witnessed a 4.5 basis point increase, ending the day at 3.415%. Additionally, the 91-day certificate of deposit (CD) rate climbed by 2.0 basis points to 3.510%.
