Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance as it closed with several significant movements among its components. The index saw notable gains in the chemical and aerospace sectors, while some technology and telecom stocks experienced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp registered an increase of 1,800, closing at 68,100. HANWHA AEROSPACE also saw a significant rise, closing up by 13,000 at 667,000. Other companies that experienced growth include KumhoPetrochem, which rose by 6,300 to 123,300, and Mobis, which increased by 4,000 to 285,500.
In contrast, tech giant NAVER faced a decline, falling by 3,500 to 204,000. Similarly, KOREA AEROSPACE saw a decrease of 3,000, ending at 79,000. In the telecommunication sector, SKTelecom dropped by 300 to 55,800, while KT decreased by 200 to 49,800.
Other notable movements include a rise in HDKSOE by 500 to 207,500, while HyundaiElev declined by 600 to 54,100. Among the financial stocks, Samsung CARD fell by 3,100 to 41,100. The retail sector also saw movement, with LOTTE SHOPPING dropping by 400 to 64,100.
While some stocks remained unchanged, such as KEPCO at 22,600 and Hanon Systems at 4,010, the day's trading reflected varied performances across different sectors.
