World IT Show 2026 Launches in Seoul with Focus on AI-Driven Innovations

Seoul: The annual World IT Show 2026 commenced in Seoul, showcasing the forefront of innovations and future projections in information and communications technology (ICT) from leading industry entities, as reported by the science ministry.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the event stands as one of the country's significant ICT trade exhibitions, offering a platform to disseminate the latest industry trends and future perspectives. A total of 460 companies and organizations from 17 countries are participating, based on information from the Ministry of Science and ICT.

This year's theme, "Beyond Idea, Into Action: AI moves Reality," highlights the participation of major tech and mobile companies such as Samsung Electronics Co., LG Electronics Inc., SK Telecom Co., KT Corp., and Kakao Corp.

On the opening day, Gaudio Lab Inc. was honored with the top presidential award for its AI-based platform that facilitates automatic audio separation and replacement, re-recording, and subtitle generation. Law and Company secured the second prize for its AI-enhanced legal service application.

At an international ICT marketplace designed to assist local startups in global expansion, 50 overseas buyers engaged in business meetings with 190 Korean companies.

Second Vice Minister Ryu Je-myung remarked, "The World IT Show is a significant venue where visitors can experience the convergence of physical AI and cutting-edge technologies. I hope this will be a meaningful occasion for our AI and ICT companies to share the achievements of innovative technologies and create opportunities for new collaboration and growth."
