KOSPI 200 Market Sees Mixed Results with Significant Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed outcomes as several major companies experienced both gains and declines in their stock prices. Among the notable movements, DL saw a decrease, closing at 48,450, down by 2,050. Meanwhile, HyundaiDeptSt experienced a significant rise, climbing by 7,500 to reach 137,100.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other noteworthy performances included SK Innovation, which faced a substantial drop of 13,400, settling at 116,700, and GS, which decreased by 3,700 to 91,600. On the upside, COSMAX recorded an increase of 14,100, closing at 192,500, and HYBE rose by 13,000 to 225,000. Samsung Biologics also saw a considerable rise, up by 27,000 to 1,545,000.

The report further highlighted that Kia Corp. declined slightly by 100, ending at 130,400, while Daewoong Pharm increased by 700 to 128,300. Celltrion's shares rose by 1,100, reaching 178,700. In the financial sector, KBFinancialGroup gained 1,100, closing at 172,600, and KIH saw a decrease of 500, ending at 212,500.

Gainers also included Doosan Bobcat, which rose by 1,800 to 64,200, and KRAFTON, which increased by 5,500, reaching 248,000. On the other hand, SK ie technology experienced a minor increase of 100, closing at 14,240, while Hyundai MandF INS dropped by 600, settling at 39,750.

The energy and engineering sectors also witnessed fluctuations, with HD-Hyundai Marine Engine dropping significantly by 2,000 to 65,600, and KDHC decreasing by 500, closing at 65,900. HyundaiEngandConst fell by 2,600, ending at 103,600, while CJ gained 1,700, reaching 133,900.
