KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Declines in Major Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable declines in various stocks, with several companies closing lower in the latest trading session. Among the significant drops, HD Hyundai Electric saw a decrease of 33,000 points, closing at 752,000, while SK Square experienced a substantial decline of 131,000, ending at 1,004,000. Hyundai Autoever also faced a major drop, closing at 436,500, down by 14,500 points.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies witnessing declines included HD Hyundai, which fell by 6,500 points to close at 228,000, and Krafton, which saw a decrease of 5,000 points, ending at 221,500. iM Financial Group and emart also recorded drops, closing at 17,360 and 72,500, respectively.

Several stocks recorded smaller declines, including Hankook Tire and Technology, which closed at 68,100, down by 1,000 points, and Netmarble, which ended the session at 37,350, down 600 points. KOLMAR KOREA and Doosan Bobcat also faced decreases, closing at 127,800 and 61,800, respectively.

On the other hand, some stocks showed upward movement. Samsung Biologics closed at 1,544,000, with an increase of 13,000 points, and COSMAX saw a rise of 7,000 points, ending at 246,000. Other gainers included HDHMS, which increased by 5,500 points to close at 209,500, and DL E and C, up by 1,200 points, closing at 71,800.

The mixed performance reflects a volatile trading session, with significant fluctuations across various sectors, impacting the overall market sentiment. Stocks such as SK ie technology and Ecopro Mat also faced minor drops, closing at 14,430 and 36,900, respectively.
