Seoul: South Korea's exports surged 83 percent from a year earlier over the first 10 days of September, customs data showed Friday. Outbound shipments reached US$35 billion in the Sept. 1-10 period, according to the data from the Korea Customs Service.
According to Yonhap News Agency, imports rose 20.7 percent on-year to $24.6 billion over the cited period, resulting in a trade surplus of $10.4 billion. This significant increase in exports highlights the country's robust trade performance during the early days of September.
