Seoul:Hanwha Ocean Co. announced it has secured a significant order valued at 680 billion won (US$499.6 million) to construct two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean shipbuilder disclosed in a regulatory filing that these vessels are scheduled for delivery to an undisclosed African shipowner by November 2029.
This latest contract contributes to Hanwha Ocean's successful year, with total orders reaching $7.71 billion. This encompasses contracts for 41 vessels, including 18 very large crude carriers, eight LNG carriers, and six container ships.
