Nagoya:Nam Ji-sung and Park Ui-sung earned a silver medal in the men's doubles tennis event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, marking South Korea's sole tennis medal at this competition.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Nam and Park were defeated by Japan's Yusuke Kusuhara and Shunsuke Nakagawa with a score of 2-0 (6-3, 7-6 (7-4)) in the gold medal match held at Higashiyama Park Tennis Center in Nagoya.
This silver medal follows South Korea's previous success in men's doubles tennis, having secured a bronze in 2023 with the team of Kwon Soon-woo and Hong Seong-chan. The last time South Korea won a gold medal in this event was in 2014, when Chung Hyeon and Lim Yong-kyu claimed the men's doubles title.
