Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index experienced widespread declines in its latest trading session, with notable decreases across various companies.
According to Yonhap News Agency, leading the decliners was SK Square, which saw its shares drop by 92,000. Other significant losses were reported by companies such as NC, down by 15,500, and Kiwoom, which fell by 4,000. The financial sector also faced setbacks, with Shinhan Group decreasing by 3,800 and Hana Financial Group down by 4,600.
Despite the overall downward trend, a few companies registered gains. Hanmi Semiconductor saw an increase of 2,500, while SK Innovation rose by 1,300 and POSCO DX edged up slightly by 50.
The technology and electronics sectors were not spared, with LG Electronics experiencing a decline of 7,500, while Hyundai Glovis and KB Financial Group fell by 5,100 and 5,700, respectively.
This trading session highlights the fluctuating nature of the stock market, with significant movements in both directions, but predominantly leaning towards declines.
