Seoul:President Lee Jae Myung's chief secretary for political affairs, Hong Ik-pyo, has offered to resign. The former three-term lawmaker, who assumed office in January, is anticipated to vacate his position after Sunday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Cheong Wa Dae is expected to announce Hong's successor around Sunday. Choi In-ho, the current president of Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corp., is reportedly being considered as a candidate for the position.
