BTS Members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook to Begin Mandatory Military Service

SEOUL - The remaining members of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS—RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—are preparing to start their mandatory military service, as announced by their agency, BigHit Music. This development follows the enlistment of their bandmates Jin, J-Hope, and Suga.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the four members have begun the necessary steps for their military service. In South Korea, all able-bodied men are required to serve approximately two years in the military. A law revised in 2020 allowed BTS members to postpone their service until they turn 30. However, if they decide not to delay, their enlistment could occur as early as the end of this year or early next year.

The agency indicated that they would provide updates on the enlistment details as they are finalized. With the upcoming military service of these members, BTS is projected to reunite as a complete group in 2025, after all members have completed their duties. BigHit Music expressed hope for continued support and love for RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook until they return from their military service.
