Seoul: CJ Logistics Corp. reported its fourth-quarter net income of 86.2 billion won (US$59.1 million), marking a 6 percent decrease from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter was 159.6 billion won, compared with 154.3 billion won from the same period last year. The company's sales experienced a slight increase of 0.5 percent, reaching 3.17 trillion won.
Despite the decline in net profit, the company's earnings surpassed market expectations. Analysts had projected an average net profit of 83.2 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
