GWANGJU, SOUTH KOREA — The Doosan Bears set a new Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) scoring record, defeating the Kia Tigers 30-6 on Wednesday at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field.
According to Yonhap News Agency, The Bears’ offensive explosion set the highest single-game run total in KBO history, surpassing the previous record of 27 runs. The game saw the Bears tally 28 hits and 13 walks, with each starter not only hitting but also scoring. The match's score differential also set a new record for the largest margin of victory in the league's history. Highlights included a first KBO home run by Jared Young during a game that saw the Bears score relentlessly from the third inning onwards.
