SEOUL: FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited the Korea Football Association (KFA) headquarters on Monday as part of his trip to South Korea, coinciding with the Asian Football Confederation Annual Awards. This was Infantino's first visit to the KFA office since the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in South Korea in 2017. According to Yonhap News Agency, Infantino met with KFA President Chung Mong-gyu and other officials during his visit. Discussions included a briefing on the construction of a new national football center in Cheonan, a project supported by FIFA. The global football governing body has committed $6 million to the KFA under its FIFA Forward Football Development Program. The initiative aims to enhance football infrastructure and development in the region.
